PARENTS GIVE AWAY CHILD

March 16th 2007 03:24
I read the below article on smh.com.au. So many thoughts go through my brain reading an article like this; no education regarding birth control? no welfare? is this legal? is this the best thing for the child? It is such a terrible unfortunate predicament to be in. What is the answer?

An impoverished Pakistani couple has given away their new-born baby to a childless couple because they could not pay the hospital bill for the birth.

Mohammad Hanif and his wife, Hakimzadi, gave away their five-day-old son to the childless couple who paid the 4,500 rupees ($A95) bill to the hospital in the southern province of Sindh.

"We already have six children while three others died because we could not care for them. At least this child will be taken care of," Hakimzadi told Reuters at her home in Tando Adam village, 200 km north of the city of Karachi.

"It is our child and we can do what we want with it," she said.

District police officer Zafar Iqbal said police were investigating but they had been told by the couple who took the child the baby had been adopted.

"The couple gave it to them for adoption as they don't have any child after 20 years of marriage," he said.

Hakimzadi said her husband was a labourer and a chronic tuberculosis patient who could not afford to feed their other children properly.

Amazing. At least the baby is in a better home, but what disturbing circumstances! If I had 10 kids I couldn't afford, 3 of whom died and one of whom I had to give away, I think I'd get a clue and STOP HAVING SEX!

Hi Wendi,

I'm not quite sure how they "get in the mood" considering how poorly they live and how hard life must be.

yoda76,

Unbelievable and sadly true.

Sounds to me like they don't have much else.

yep, sex is sex, poor people do it more than rich people because... they want more kids, bundle of joy and whatnot...

Ahmed,

Seriously though, bundle of joy? Then you stress about whether this kid is going to live or not? where you are going to find the money to feed this child?

Surely that would put you off sex.

Basically the point I'm trying to make, people don't see a correlation between sex and kids, or at least if they don't want kids they don't think about it.

Life's tough, I'd say poor people don't pro-create more than rich folks do, the only difference is poor people can't afford condoms.

Men are so weak.

as are women, but they don't tell men that so they can manipulate men.

Think about it, she wants it, he wants it, but she also wants the lawn mowed, she feigns that she can withhold, she can't, but the man is too stupid to figure out the bluff.

So men are stupid then. What's worse?

Not all men are stupid, just the ones who don't know any better and think women are magical beings... women aren't magical beings, they're just... so confused that they seem complex.

We're not confused, you just don't understand us Ahmed.

see? Thats the come back, when a woman says one thing then the next day contradicts what she said previously she just claims the man doesn't understand her, to me that sounds looks like smokescreen, fact of the matter is she's confused.

you wanted the carpets in the room one day after hours of argument because I wanted them in the other room, then the next day you make me roll up the carpets and take them to the other room I wanted to put them in to begin with.

It is you who is confused

You got your way...what are you complaining about?

April 26th 2007 15:15
No, I didn't get my way, it wasn't in the room I wanted them in, the next day the confused female changed her mind. Simple reality, confused, like you, like all women, confused because they want everything to be perfect but don't know what perfect is, thats why britney spears shaved her head, thats why certian females can't decide where the carpets go.

Comment by Mrs M

April 26th 2007 15:24
You link carpets to Britney Spears and you accuse me of being confused?

Comment by Ahmed

April 26th 2007 15:26
yes I did link them because both instances involve confused females.
