True! Don`t you hate when you spend twenty minutes scrubbing the loungeroom floor and then they come in with their dirty shoes and socks and trail grass and mud all over the place - hmmmmm pet hate!!!!!!! And to top it off they don`t understand why you have a moment?!
My husband is a packrat to begin with, and the kids are better about putting their dishes in teh sink than he is. Whenver he went out to sea, the house was alway clean.
A good example is how my husband walked sand all through our red wine coloured carpet only 2 days ago - he left actual imprints of sand from the soles of his shoes, and I had only just vaccuumed said carpet!
My most common saying around here has always been that "I need a month with no husband, children or dog around to get this place into the order I want it in!"
It sounds harsh, but I'd really love to be able to share a moment with a man who really appreciated the hours I took to rearrange and spring clean an entire room as much as me, that's all.
But that's a minor thing, in the grand scheme of what constitutes a good hus-bane in my mind ... if you have to have one, that is?
Gotta love those moments. I've been guilty of faking a few just so I could see what it was like to have a hissy fit for no good reason.
Hello Mr Bloggs,
Who cares if he's straight or bent; just as long as he stays out of my way when I'm in the middle of an organising session
Hi Sandi,
I hear ya. Mine doesn't have as long periods away from home as your husband would have but those weeks when he's pulling crazy hours things do just run a little more my way. Though I do go a bit batty by the end.
Hi Lilla,
My husband has decided to take over laundry duties. He's been at it for a few weeks. A couple of weeks ago I could hear him say "where did all these dirty clothes come from...I just did a load this morning!" Now I'm not the kind of person that says "I told you so" but...
Hi KylieW,
I agree, it is true. But I wonder if the roles were reversed (ie husband stayed home and I went out to work) whether he'd say the same about me. I'm not sure I want to know the answer.
