WOOLWORTHS WANT TO SELL MORE CONFECTIONARY

Woolworths want to sell more confectionery at their checkouts instead of magazines.

They've probably realised that the amount of time I stand at the check out I've read the entire magazine so there's no need to buy it.

But keep me waiting long enough and I'll probably give in and buy a damn chocolate.

Fun Facts

What I always find ridiculous, and it's probably done on purpose too for the same reasons, is that if you do find a supermarket with a lolly free checkout, it's usually not even open and in use, thereby forcing you to pick the checkout with all the 'goodies' on display... Just so they can say that they DO have lolly free checkouts!

You sound like me, Mrs M. I use the time for flicking thru the mags and I have no problem resisting buying them. But chocolate... that's much harder.
